The winter product release is here. New features and enhancements are now available across our Host and Marketing solutions to help you personalize the guest experience and handle everyday tasks even more efficiently.

Smart Tags Smart Tags help you recognize guests who belong to specific segments, such as regulars, rewards members, or high-value guests, by automatically flagging them in the Host app. Create a segment in the Marketing dashboard and customize how the Smart Tag will be displayed on a guest profile (e.g. emoji, highlight color). Advanced settings also offer the ability to enable priority seating.

Mass Email Campaigns
Creating and deploying mass email campaigns is now streamlined within the Marketing dashboard. Here’s how it works:
- Create: Build your campaign creative directly in the dashboard and configure your campaign settings.
- Segment: Select the audience for your campaign from your existing list of segments.
- Schedule: Send the campaign immediately or select a future date/time.

Automation Triggers
Two updates to automation triggers include:
- New Segment Entry/Exit Trigger: Any time a guest is added to a segment or removed (based on their behavior meeting the criteria of the segment), you can now trigger an automation. Use this to automate win-back emails, for example, should a high-value guest become a churn risk. You can read more here.
- Dynamic CDP Source Triggers: For brands leveraging CDP, data from any integrated source (e.g. loyalty events) will now be automatically available as a “trigger condition” option as you create automations. - Survey response rating is less than 5
- Beer or wine club offer redeemed
- New loyalty status reached
- Online ordering cart abandoned
“Party Seated” Webhook
We’ve expanded our library of webhooks to include the ability to share key details from Host to other technology platforms when a guest is seated. Example actions brands can take by leveraging this webhook include:
- Enable guests to pre-order when they make a reservation and have the order fire once they are seated.
- Pass loyalty program data displayed in the Host app to your POS automatically so as guests make their way to their table, their loyalty status is readily available to their server.

Additional Updates
- Guest Profile & Timeline Redesign: Guest profiles have an all-new look. Layout enhancements include the ability to expand/collapse timeline details and additional events are being added to each guest’s events log. Click here for additional details.
- Reservations from the Dashboard: Creating and editing reservations from the web dashboard is now even easier. Input reservation details and make quick changes to existing bookings, faster. Click here to read more about what’s changed.
- Tripleseat Integration: For brands leveraging Tripleseat’s event management software, as parties are booked, you now have the option to display those parties in the Host app (including a source tag: Tripleseat). For more details, check out this article.
