Olo offers a variety of text notifications that are triggered by specific actions and allow you to keep your guests updated on the status of their place in line or reservation.
NOTE: To adhere with A2P 10DLC regulations, freeform messaging will not be supported in the Host App. Changes to messages must be completed by a member of the Support team. If you need to make a change to a text message, please contact support with the specific message you want updated and the verbiage you want added or edited.

Overview
Below is a list of all of the text messages that we support:
Waitlist
- Waitlist Confirmation: Sent when a party is added to the waitlist via the Host app
- Web Waitlist Confirmation: Sent when a party is added to the waitlist via web form
- Remote Waitlist Checkin Confirmation: Sent when a party that has been added remotely checks in
Call-Ahead
- Call-Ahead Confirmation: Sent when a call-ahead party is added to the waitlist via the Host app
Reservation
- Reservation Created: Sent when a reservation party is made via the Host app

Reservation Confirmation: Sent at a customizable time before the reservation

- When a confirmation text is set for a location, guests will automatically start receiving day-before and same-day reminder texts for all reservations made after the activation
- The message scheduled time is the same for both day-before and same-day texts.
- We currently don't have a way to disable day-before or same-day texts it's either both on or neither.
- If a reservation is updated, the reminder text will be rescheduled.
- If a reservation is made 1 day before the reserved date and after the message scheduled time, guests will receive a same-day text at the message scheduled time.
- If a reservation is made for the same day but after the massage scheduled time, the guest will not receive a reminder text
- If a reservation is made same-day for a time before the message schedule time, the guest will not receive a same-day reminder text.

- Reservation Check-In Confirmation: Sent when a reservation party is checked in via the Host app
Table-Ready
- Table Ready Notification: Sent when the party is notified their table is ready
- Table Ready Notification #2: Sent when the party is notified a 2nd time
- Table Ready Notification #3: Sent when the party is notified the 3rd time
List Assist
List Assist uses your Table Ready notifications to notify walk-in parties. For reservation parties, the below messages apply:
- ETA Reminder: Sent on a customizable delay after the guests ETA
- ETA Final Reminder: Sent on a customizable delays after the ETA Reminder

Order Management
- Order Created: Sent upon an order being placed w/ OLO or created manually
- Order Ready: Sent when an order is ready. This can be manual (by pressing the "Notify Guest" button) or automated based on the OLO Promise Time

Guest Webview
Guest Webview is a webpage that allows guests to monitor their wait time. This is currently compatible with the Waitlist Confirmation and Web Waitlist Confirmation messages. When active, a link is added to the end of the waitlist texts:
