Having the most updated version of software and hardware is important because they have the most recent features and bug fixes. Make sure you get the latest update with each new release.

Compatible Devices
In order to provide a larger floorplan for your hosts, we recommend running the app on a device larger than an iPad mini. Here is a list of our recommended iPad versions that can run the last two versions of iOS:
- iPad Pro (all generations)
- iPad Air (all generations)
- iPad (5th generation, mid-2017, or newer)
- iPad Mini (2nd generation or newer)
iOS Version
Olo Host runs on the last two versions of of iOS.
You can check which operating system you're running by tapping Settings > General > About and looking for "Software Version." You can also view this information in the Host app by opening the left navigation bar and tapping Settings. The iOS and the Host app versions will be listed in the bottom left corner.

We recommend downloading the newest version from the App Store for the best performance. If you're unable to download from the app store, please contact your IT department as they may control updates centrally through Mobile Device Management.
