What are Segments?
Segments are groups of guests that share one or multiple data points. They can be used to act by sending targeted marketing campaigns to similar guests, with a greater likelihood of success/conversion due to their highly-personalized nature, and to analyze how the behavior of similar guests have changed over time.
NOTE: Our article on Segment Attribute Definitions is a helpful reference.
Examples of Segments are:
- Sunday Brunchers (all guests who have visited on a Sunday between 8 am and 2 pm)
- Wifi Signups (all guests who first opted into email marketing via wifi)
- High Check Average (all guests that have an average check > $150)
