Engage’s Guest Data Platform (GDP) captures and merges information about guests, including transactional, behavioral, and demographic data points. Guest Profiles are the central point in which all known guest data is aggregated and displayed in a single unified view.
This enables brands to develop a comprehensive view of each guest, from anonymous to known, across all channels and platforms in real-time, to make it simple for all team members to digest and take action on.
*The video above shows the Analytics tab as the default view but it is now the Timeline tab.

Accessing Guest Profiles
There are multiple ways to view a specific guest’s data. If you know the specific guest you are looking for, simply begin typing their name, email, or phone number into the Guest Book search bar and the Search Results will dynamically update. From there, simply click the View Profile button for the applicable guest and you will be taken to their Guest Profile.
Guest Profile User Interface
Each Guest Profile is broken out into four components: CRM Data, Timeline, Analytics, and Contact Lists.
The CRM Data section for each guest will look slightly different based on the data associated with them specifically. It can include information like email address, phone number, birthday, and Guest Notes inputted by staff. This information can be populated dynamically via integrations and manually via CSV uploads.
If you click the View All Guest Profile Fields button (above the Facebook icon in the image above), you will be able to view all of a guest’s available information including their Custom Fields, Smart Properties, and Smart Tags.
Timeline Tab
This is where each guests’ brand interactions are visualized into a chronological timeline, making it easy to see the on- and off-premise touch points they have had with your brand over time. Clicking the “chevron” icon on any specific event will reveal the Events Log. You can also reveal the Event Log of all events in the Timeline by clicking the expand icon in the top right corner.
To view more information about any single event in the Timeline, click the 'View Properties' button of the applicable event and you will see a table view with all of the associated details.
Clicking the Show Data Types box will expose the raw key and data type of the underlying JSON. Clicking the View JSON button will display the actual JSON code, making it easier for developers to get the information they need in their preferred data format.
In some cases, guests may have dozens or hundreds of events. To quickly narrow down to a specific Event Type, click the filter icon in the top-right corner and select your desired values. You can also sort by Oldest or Most Recent by clicking the arrows icon next to it.
Party Seated Details
Every detail and event concerning a party, as well as any contextual actions related to a party, lives in a single ‘Party Seated’ view accessible through the guest's record in the Dashboard. This will provide Engage Dashboard users with a complete view of the guest’s experience from a consolidated location.
To view event details, click the 'View Properties </>' button on the top right of the event modal:
Analytics Tab
The Analytics tab enables you to see additional key data points about a guest such as their lifetime spend, likelihood to churn, and engagement with marketing content. This makes it incredibly easy for staff to quickly gather context of a guest’s past experiences, empowering them to deliver a personalized touch at scale.

Contact Lists Tab
This is where you can view the specific Contact Lists in which the guest is subscribed. If you click the View button you will be taken to the Contact List itself, where you can view all Names and Email Addresses subscribed to it.
If a guest is subscribed to multiple Contact Lists, they will display one per row. If a guest is not subscribed to any Contact Lists, you will see a “Guest does not belong to any lists” message.
