Olo's email template builder allows you to design your templates within the web dashboard. The email editor includes drag-and-drop modules, HTML compatibility, and the ability to send test emails to any recipient.
Note: If you were previously using templates built in SendGrid, those templates will remain linked and editable. Any new email templates on existing or new Automations are required to be built with the new template editor.
Getting Started
- In the dashboard, navigate to Settings > Design Library > Starter Templates. Emails can also be created directly though Campaigns and Automation Templates, however they will not be saved within the template library.
- Select Create Template
- Choose between the drag & drop/WYSIWYG editor and HTML editor
Selecting the HTML editor option loads a split-pane view with the code editor on the left and a live preview on the right
Users also have the option to have a full screen code editor. To view, click the </>Code button
- HTML templates can be exported by using the Export button, and existing HMTL can easily be pasted into the code editor
- Emails built using the HTML editor will be indicated as such with the
Code <>tag:
