For those leveraging the reservation integration with Google, it is important to note that due to how Google displays reservations names, you will need to name your Reservation Type(s) to be in compliance with Google’s naming conventions.
Reservation Types should be named after the room or area in which the guest will be seated (e.g. Dining Room, Bar, Patio). In general, you should refrain from naming the Reservation Type after an experience, an event, or anything that does not reference the area in which a guest will be seated.
Some examples of improper naming conventions would include:
- Reservation(s)
- Indoor Dining
- Outdoor Dining
- Private Dining
- References to experiences such as:
- Brunch Reservations
- VIP
- Events
Examples of proper naming conventions would include:
Bar |
Comedor | Grill | Lounge Area | Main Hall | Outside | Sushi Bar |
Bar Area | Dining Room | Ground Floor | Main | Non-Smoking | Patio | Terrace |
Bar Inside | Exterior | Ground Level | Main Area | Outdoor(s) | Rooftop | Terraza |
Bar Terrace | Garden | Lounge | Main Dining | Outdoor Terrace | Smoking | Observation Deck |
Please note the examples above are not an exhaustive list but general guidelines for naming your Reservation Types. If you have questions about naming your Reservation Types, please reach out to your CSM or to our Support Team.
