To help contextualize review management performance insights, brands can use the Competition Dashboard to compare their Total Reviews, Average Review Score, Average Response Times, and Share of Voice to local competitors. This report can be found in the Reviews > Competition section of the Sentiment dashboard.
To view the Competition Dashboard, navigate to Location > Reviews. Please note that the Competition Dashboard is not available at the Account or Group level. This is expected behavior.

Dashboard Filters and Settings
There are seven elements to interact with in the Competition Dashboard.
- The network icons in the top-right corner displays which networks are connected for the location and provides the option to connect additional ones
- The pencil icon in the top-right corner will up the Location level settings
- The people icon in the top-right corner provides a list of of current Location Managers and allows the user to add new ones
- The trash can icon in the top-right corner opens up a prompt that allows the user to delete the Location
- The Edit Competitors button enables user to add or remove the local competitors being tracked
- The Date Range Filter allows the user to filter the Dashboard using preset data ranges such as the Last 30 Days or by Custom Dates
- The Network Filter allows the user to filter the dashboard to any combination of connected networks using a simple checkbox interface
- The Print button will open up a printable PDF ideal for sending to stakeholders
Reporting Elements
The Competition Dashboard is made up of six parts, with each part providing specific insights that collectively deliver a clear view into how a brand’s reputation stacks up against the competition.
Overview Cards: Provides the Average Rating, Total Reviews, and Average Response Time across all activated networks for the brand and its defined competitors.
Share of Voice: Lists the top keywords used in reviews across for brand and defined competitors, breaking out the percent of mentions from each tracked business. Hovering over the pie chart displays how many of the mentions were Positive, Neutral, or Negative.
Breakdown by Rating: A stacked bar chart that displays the percentage of 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-star reviews from each tracked brand. Hovering over a bar will display the percent value for it.
Network Breakdown: A table that compares the Location to the defined competitors across different networks. Please note Facebook is not currently supported in this chart.
Response Time vs. Competitors: A line chart that shows the Average Response Time of all tracked brands over the specified time period. Hovering over any bullet will display the raw value of Time in Hours.
Reviews Over Time vs. Competitors: A line chart that shows the Total Reviews of all tracked brands over the specified time period. Hovering over any bullet will display the raw value of # of Reviews.
Adding Competitors
Competitors are assigned at the Location level, and each location can have up to four competitors. For example, let’s say the fictional Athena Grill brand has 10 locations. They could assign four competitors to each of their 10 locations, for a total of 40 unique competitors.
To add a competitor, start by clicking the Edit Competitors button in the top-right corner of the Competition Dashboard.
If Location Details have already been filled out, the map will pull in relevant businesses based on the Category, City, and Zip information provided. Regardless, this information can be changed at any time by inputting new values and clicking the magnifying glass button.
Select the check box to the right of any business listing to add it to the report, and click Save when done.
